With the announcement of new pricing structures from Native Instruments on their whole Traktor range of DJ software and the upgrade price for Traktor LE to Traktor Pro 2 now being reduced to just €79, what are your opinions on upgrading, for a mobile DJ who doesn't do club work and has very little reason or chance to play around with beatmatching or effects except maybe while playing around at home?
For that kind of money, is it really a no brainer? Even for the chance just to play around with it and practice and learn some new skills?
I recently bought a Mixtrack Pro and I run it with Serato DJ Intro mostly because it works so seamlessly with very little tinkering. Should I spend the €79 and start to delve deeper? Is there that much more to be gained by upgrading to the Pro version?
