I'm trying to update/work on my background music and I'm after cool/funky tunes like this.

Anyone got a few suggestions?

Cue Steve. :sj:

Why is that background music?

Good dance tune IMO.

Yeah, I used it the other night and everyone danced - worked well with I'm coming out for some reason.

I'm just after really upbeat classics as an alternative to swing/jazz/90's boy bands/80's slow stuff.

Hard to explain really.

Have you listened to any of their early jazz funk/Brit funk? That was pretty cool. :beatnik:

They were never cool

:agree: there seems to be a bit of level 42 obsessing going on! :D

Charlie, if you fancy some interesting funky, cool tracks try the Supafunky or Bar Essentials CD series, some interesting tracks a mix of mainstream and non mainstream (no level 42 either!!)

Please................not the "cool" or "uncool" debate again

It's subjective, we are never going to agree :D

It's a law of musical physics that it is impossible to be cool when the bass is being held at a level higher than Simon Cowell's waistline.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Much appreciated. More stuff like 'a night to remember' would be grand.

I've got most of these tunes in my library, just haven't thought to play them as background music!

Great tune.
SOS band too!
Mantronix - Got to have your love.

This is all old skool stuff and good to hear it again.
By the way, I still have the David Joseph 'You can't hide your love' 12" here.

...oh, and I didn't think Level 42 were that bad. I loved 'Hot Water' and 'The Chinese Way'.
