I usually do a couple but have opted to stick with Ballabriggs who I had a bet on last year and won.
I did it last week - £5 each way at 16/1.

Had 50p e/w on In Compliance (picked by my 6yr old son because he liked the colours!!) and taken at 125/1 with a first 5 placing with SkyBet and that's gotten me £16.13 back so I'm a happy bunny!! :)

As you can tell, I'm a big high-roller when it comes to horse racing (NOT!!!) :D

I had that one at work in the sweep. I also had money on Planet of Sound. I didn't actually see the race as I was out with the kids but I did watch the text commentary on the BBC mobile site on my phone. With two fences to go it said that the horses were first and second. Boy did I get excited!!! :(

I'm most definitely not a seasoned pro when it comes to horse racing. But even I know you'd have to be either a) very brave, b) quite rich or c) pretty stupid to be betting big money (well, £20 is big money to me!) on a 125/1 outsider. And I'm none of those things. I laid £15 of bets between myself, my 3 kids and my mam and got over £16 back so I'm a happy bunny. Then, last night I had a night off so I used my some of my winnings to play a bit of online poker - something I really do know about! - and I've withdrawn my winnings to bank account this morning!! ;)
