I bought myself an Equinox aries laser there and one of the reasons I bought it was the Ilda Interface as I wan't to be able to do custom logos and writing. Is there a free or cheap one to get me started ? I know you can pay up to 600 pound for good stuff but I want to keep costs down.Kam software looks good but is it easy to use? Thanks in advance

Only ever used Fiesta! 2 by Showtackle, Very good software but I'm not sure of the cost as it was purchased by a company I worked for previously. Would definitely recommend it though

you won't be able to do very good logos with that laser. in order to do what you want you need good scanners which would cost more that the whole unit did. you might be able to do some stuff however. I use the industry stander pangolin ld200 pro with will set you back £4k for he software but i do also have a pangolin flashback 3 board and quick show software which ill sell you for £300
its great software and easy to use and you can also too beams shows and is set up for live work.
google it and see what you think.

I have an Equinox Aztec and use Ishow, I can write the B&G name with the laser and all sorts of pretty pictures, I did get bored with it though and just let the laser do its thing now and the Ishow is sitting in the lock up with all the other redundant gear.

EDIT: Do not be ripped off by buying an ILDA cable for £50, All you need is a printer cable extension, Not the printer cable itself but an extension, I got a 10 meter one for £5.99.
