I shall not be prominent on here, due to issues at home, which I'm not going to go into detail over. Suffice to say, I'm confident that they will pass, in the foreseeable future, and I will be able to once more post my merry quips and helpful hints.

Until that time comes, I know that the rest of the team will take up the slack, and ensure that the forum runs smoothly, so I guess I'll have to buy them all a :beer1: at BPM for doing my share of the work.

I'll pop in when I can, but that won't be for a while. :( Back soon. :D

Well folks, you don't get rid of me so easily. :p I can now divulge the reason for my recent enforced absence. It's true that I've recently causing problems here on the forum, and so it was felt that I had to do something about it.

Many folk on here struggle to understand my writings, my flowery language, my verbose utterances, my purple prose. This was obviously unacceptable, so I have just returned from taking some courses designed to cure the problem.

I have passed with honours from a Plain English course. Mind you, it did take over a week to do it, mainly since for the first three days, the instructors couldn't work out anything I was on about!:o :o :o

So, I have now been able to eschew unnecessary and confusing verbal calisthenics, and I'm back here, ready to elucidate the Stygian gloom of ignorance in the most forthright and lucid language.

I have to say also that while I was away, I tried to put my time to good use by taking tuition on various aspects of being a modern DJ. Sadly, I have to confess that I was less successful in these courses. :(

The first one was on Denon MP3 playing equipment, but I was excluded from that course when I advised the instructor that he must have got gear that hadn't had the firmware upgrade to cure the deafness problem, and when I'd spent ten minutes shoutrng at one of the players, I was informed that I had failed.

The second one was on DMX programming, but here I was a less than model pupil also. I was finally excluded from this one when I brought a chicken, bones and other accoutrements for a Voodoo ceremony, because I was sure that was how they were doing it.

Anyway boys and girls, I'm back, I'm raring to go, and I've now been certified as completely fit for purpose. :D :D

What you need is a Greenwich Instruments GWDMX.

If folks like Toby & Me can master it, anyone can.

Good to see you back Peter, although I too have not frequented this forum as much as I would have liked, very busy at the moment with a huge IT software installation at work and a lot of disco bookings too

Things are looking peachy at the moment but in this industry I'll enjoy it while it lasts... you never know what's around the next corner... :D
