My old 'Charles Brown Wedding DJ' site is for sale.

I'm looking for £200.

You'll own all the rights (not the domain) and obviously you can change the logo/text/images.

Cheers. :beer1:

Good question!

I might have a few screen shots? It was my old site Martin designed that everyone liked. www.forum.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/showthread.php?t=30961

Everyone seemed to like it. Martin might have a screen shot?

Surely if you're selling it then you must have it to upload?

If you like send it to me and I'll put it up temporarily somewhere so you can show it.

I get that, I just don't understand the value. If the buyer doesn't get the domain, and has to change the text and graphics, then what exactly is he/she buying?

So it's just the coding for the site?

I don't understand this Charlie??
You want to sell the website but keep the domain and people can't use any of the content?
What's the point?
Confused!

People do this a lot, you basically just buying the template, content and your own graphics are added after.

Dan, please take the time to start a thread in the Newbies section of the forum to introduce yourself. Thanks.

What is there not to understand?

Charlie had a professional website made and paid a lot of money and now doesn't need it, so is selling it on.

As for images and domain any potential buyer isn't going to want a big picture of Charlie or "CharliebrownweddingDJ.com" or what every it is are they?

So for sale is a professionally made website at a much cheaper rate, I really don't understand how anyone can not understand?

Nor can I.

Just need to get the bugger uploaded somehow!

Can't people remember it? Martin, I know you had a few screen shots because you put it on your website under 'recent work' - would you mind sharing it please? :)

(that was a rant was it?)
It's easy!
Re-word the thread title then!!
Shouldn't it be 'Templates for Sale' or something other than 'Website'?

If Charlie is keeping the domain name then all that's for sale really are templates that have been designed by Martin.....aren't they?

Alright, Ace....cool your jets. What I don't understand is what someone would buy? If you can't use the text, images or domain, what is being purchased? Some inner workings? I know nothing of web design, and trying to appreciate the value, as Charlie's websites historically perform much better than mine in Google.

By your idolisation of Steve Jobs (a man so intelligent he thought he could cure pancreatic cancer by :Censored::Censored::Censored::Censored::Censored: ing about drinking nettle juice until the cancer grew to an inoperable size) I take it that you have an interest in IT/web type shizzle. I do not and am therefore trying to learn more...as Pe7e says in his signature, I'm not young enough to know everything.

Please - can we stay on topic. All of my threads seem to go off on a tangent for no reason!

You will get a CD ROM with the template, layout, design, logo, images - everything. I didn't think people would want to use pictures of my setup, so I said you could change them?

You will be able to add/remove content as you see fit. I was trying to emphasise that you're not buying a website about me - you will/should change it to suit your requirements.

Some of you might not resell dancefloors but could offer Karoke (which I don't), so you'd change the dancefloor page to Karoke - for example?

A gentle reminder:

Chat is not allowed in for sale threads.

I'll leave what's there already as there was some confusion as to what was actually up for grabs. Now it's been clarified, all off topic posts after this one will be deleted.
