Had a free date Saturday, first since Feb, until Friday afternoon that was, when after a chat with my local disco emporium, got roped into doing a walk in pub job.
Nice recently modernised place, with an older crowd, mainly out for a meal. Talk about money for old rope! Played some superb oldies, from the 60's, 70's and 80's and plenty of banter all night on the mike.
Bar manager comes up at the end of the night, and wanted to negotiate some future dates, including the christmas period. Poor guy nearly choked when I told him how much a saturday night would cost him! Although I did offer him some midweek stuff at a suitable discount.
But it made me remember how hard we work on the mobile scene, ensuring that the floor is moving all night long. :teeth:
