Uploading pictures to The Gallery

I'd like to upload a photo from my iPhone to The Gallery section of the forum and am really struggling. Can anyone post me a step-by-step guide please?

I'm not really the best person to advise on this, especially since I don't have an iphone, or anything similar. I'm sure someone who understands this sort of thing will be along soon.

If it were me, I'd try to copy the piccies from the phone to a PC, resize them in a photo editing programme ( plenty of free or cheap ones available ) and upload them from there.

Ok, thank you. I'll start by transferring the photo from my iPhone to my P.C tomorrow and try from there.

The link Peter (Excalibur) given you for the step by step guide should work....the only issue is that the file is probably too big for the upload to accept.

Meant to add....if your iPhone supports altering the camera file size then lower res. And smaller files should upload.

Re the file size, if you resize the picture to fall within the limits advised by the forum, 600 pixels high, 800 pixels wide and choose a suitable format ( jpeg allows a large file size ) then it should not be too tricky.

Ok, thanks for the advice. Be good to get a photo up of my current set up and then an "after" one too! Hopefully in a few months time when I've saved up for a booth, uplighting and mac book pro!! Did I say months? Just bought a box trailer, so baby steps. Thanks everyone. I'm loading in today but if I get chance I might go and see Mike at Phase One to help get me a picture up on The Gallery!
