New add on service just launched from Networking trip!

Following on from the networking trip to Spain where there was actually a fair bit work done ;) There were many discussions on business add ons the idea of actual Royal Mail postboxes to put all the cards etc into came up.

So I acted on this when we got back and have just today launched a new website "postbox for my Wedding"

Hopefully it should do well as there's nothing similar locally. Big thanks to Alex for doing the website, well pleased with it going from conception to LIVE in 8 days.

Typical everything was working fine last night now there's a problem with the Gallery on the Redbox page.

Looking good paul BUT how do you get off the gallery as on FF once your in gallery of the postboxes theres no X or close button etc you have to press back to which i was faced with apache server notice :/

Nice, simple website that says everything it needs to! All seems to be working here on Firefox. :)

There's a company around here that does them, but just to give you more food for thought, the ones that they seem to do the best with are the personalised hand-made ones that they keep and use as keepsake boxes afterwards.

You might want to get the spelling and grammar police to give it a thorough once-over... at a very quick glance I spotted "real postboxs" on the index page and "Nothing says classic, then the classic red one" on the 'Red boxes' page.

Didn't get chance to dig deeper.

Out of interest, are your postboxes on a pole or just sit on a table? Im just thinking the base would have to be some weight with the boxes being cast iron (usually)

You can get poles for them but mine just sit on the table. You're right about the weight though. These have cast Iron fronts and steel box bits so not too bad.

Just taken the first booking for the white box :D :D :D

One of my July brides has been after one for ages and couldn't find one in this area and then saw the facebook post this morning!!

I think his fee is about right for what brides are willing to pay. Theres a thread on Hitched discussing this very service and most people were saying they woild happily pay around that mark.

Yes, of £100 unless the client has booked the disco etc with me already and I'll be taking it with me & bringing it back when I leave.

Just as an update on the postbox thing.

Since launching there's been 6 bookings so far with 3 of them being Brides adding it to their Wedding disco package.

I've had a Red & white box refurbed and am now alot happier with how they look. They were good before now they're Amazeballs!

The one at last weekends wedding had a pic posted on facebook by the Florist I know that was there and it has certainly sparked a lot more interest in them. I never thought i'd become a millionaire out of these but am pleased with how things are going so far.

I've ordered a couple of swanflight custom cases to look after them when they travel as the red one has got a little chip on the back already :eek: but nothing a little fill in pen won't sort.

Just taken a booking for the white on over the August bank holiday so pleased with how things are going.

It is a (well 3) proper ER cast iron boxes. Alot of the bookings as I said above have been collections the others are gigs I'm at anyway doing the Weddings. Storage not an issue they're in my "Lock up" and take up next to no space as they're flightcased. Apart from getting them refurbed initially maintenance will be minimal the odd touch up here and there. Any substantial damage is paid for by the hirer.
