Just landed a last minute gig for 100 doctors and nurses, fairly local as well.
cheese from 90`s and 00`s and chart , still with my health record , couldn't be a better gig.....:D :D

Nice on Daryll - what do you class as last-minute i.e. when is it?

I did a nurses disco a few weeks ago and the dancefloor was rammed all night (even during the pie & peas buffet). They really know how to have a good time :)

just got back from the venue visit , smallish room , but a good dance area , met a few of the doctors and nurses , great crowd.
however................

I produced my PAT and PLI like you would , after all this is the NHS ,apparently the agency that used to to the gigs has said that none of his dj`s needed any of that..:Censored: , sometimes you just have to bite your tongue and keep stum....

it gets better........

"Do you need a table like the last DJ? "...er no , I have a proper stand.

" are you supplying any lights"....what..........well yes as a matter of fact I have a choice of lighting that I will bring to obtain the best effect.

I then asked if there was much interest in the gig.

"Oh yes , I received calls from as far a field as Northampton and Derby (125 and 180 miles respectfully) , you went the cheapest by a long way , but you were local and you returned my call promptly.

Still I am looking froward to it , a cheese fest.............:D :D

I used to do a regular thursday night gig at our hospital for a while and they were absolutely banging. Those Doctors and Nurses (especially the student ones) really know how to party!
