First week of August. Ill be down in Norfolk for a week camping. We are going to be at Vauxhall Holiday Park which is in Great Yarmouth. So if anyones nearby or from round that way. It will be good to have a meetup or some kind or a good excuse to avoid :D :p

In the late 80's I did the sunday lunchtime discos in the main room at Vauxhall.

We went up that way last year and stayed at Wild Duck in Belton for a weekend. Ive been to Vauxhall before about 12 years ago. Its a very good site. But the family decided to book there this year.

Its the Regency Room the main room i think in there.

A few years ago we used to walk over the bridge from Vauxhall into the Centre of Yarmouth and go for a bit of a pub crawl.

Last year we had a mixed grill in Market Tavern ive never seen a mixed grill as big as that. But it was nice.

I worked at the Wild Duck as well.

Taff and Vanessa at the Market Tavern do put on some very nice meals. I have had breakfast there a couple of times. Ive known them both for over 20 years.

I had a summer holiday there about 2 years ago, its a lovely place and the mobile homes are clean and comfy, should go back sometime, enjoy :)

Only did a couple of discos there but was resident at the Florida Club on the site next to that, and also at the Sundowner halfway down on the opposite side of the road. :D

Looking forward to a week up there and a return visit to Vauxhall. Will be there by about 10am as it takes about 4 hours from here.

Im not going to be able to bring any DJ Equipment lol. Not a chance of that. They will be ripping the kitchen sink on friday and trying to pack that with the rest of the camping equipment. I can see that now.

Started off with a smallish normal trailer with a cover over they rammed that thing full with camping equipment. When i bought a 6x4 box trailer with a roller door about 3 years ago for the dj gear. It was an excuse for them to take even more camping equipment and now they are ramming that full. Ill end up on the roof box probably on the way there.

The steak still got demolished lol. Everyone else had the mixed grill and they didnt finish it. Good job i had it after going on the Rollercoaster with my 7 year old Nephew.

Having a night in tonight. The weathers not been great over the last few hours. A few people on the camspsite have been flooded after a storm. So have spent a bit of the night helping some of them out clear the water off the grass as its been a little bit waterlogged after a storm. Our tent has had 1 or 2 drips in but nothing serious. None of us have got wet.

One of my mates has just taken over the Grange Hotel at Ormesby about 5 miles away.

He does a 56 oz steak which is free if you eat it and all the trimmings....

Tbh i enjoyed the meal at Market Tavern. I still thought it was nice no complaints what so ever. I had one in the same pub the year before last and it was nice then as well.

Im not too fussy with Steak. I would be if it was like cardboard but it wasnt.

Tommorow i think we are going onto the Norfolk Broads and visiting. Woodbastwick, Ranworth, Wroxham, Horning & Potter Heigham. We are going back to Wroxham later in the week to hire a dayboat for the day.

Been at Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth for nearly a week now. I have a nephew who's seven year old and a niece who's nearly five who are with us. The site is advertised as a five star holiday park and i think its worthy of that.

Both my nephew and niece like this site better than any site they have ever been on. Haven mostly and park resorts and even Butlins.

I myself like the site as well its fantastic in more ways than one.

Sound and Lighting equipment is great in the clubhouse and its used to its full potential. All the bars have decent sound systems and lights. Nexo, Logic systems, and D&B Audiotechnik and a nice HK Audio system in the adult bar. Robe moving head lightshow and colour changers. The entertainment crew and engineers actually know what theyre doing and they do a great job.

Have seen some very good bands and singers as well.

facilities. This site has everything for the family. A great big swimming pool with outdoor waterworld. Big games room. Big amusement arcade. Adult bar and large clubhouse for the family. A seperate chip shop, burger bar, Pizza shop, seafood bar even go karts a massive outdoor playground for the kids. Crazy golf. Go Karts. Kids clubs throughout the day. Sports pitch. Beauty shop. Gym and even toy shops.

If you have a caravan or tent or want an appartment or static caravan. Have a look at this place. You wont be dissapointed. The only downfall of this site is worth mentioning but tbh its far outweighed by the good is that some people think its expensive but im not bothered by that.
