What with the ship inn closing three weeks ago , and now this......:( , guess I`ll never know the reasons , my heart goes out to their 9 year old daughter , who allegedly saw the incident.

Landlord of South Harting pub found dead

THE landlord of the White Hart pub at South Harting was found dead at the pub in the early hours of this morning (Monday May 21).

The body of 37 year old Peter Davies was discovered by his partner Hayley Thomas who lived at the pub with Mr Davies and their daughter.

A police spokesman said: “Police and ambulance crews attended an address in The Street, Harting, this morning following concern for the health of a man.

“Emergency services were called to the address at 12.50am and a 37-year-old man was found dead at the property.

“The man’s death is not believed to be suspicious and the coroner has been informed. An inquest has been opened and adjourned.”
