Moderated posts?

Can any mods shed some light as to why my posts suddenly have to be approved before going live? Have I done something wrong or something?

Actually, this one have gone live straight away so it is something to do with posting in the advertisers section? The posts I'm referring to have been in Callum's thread looking for opinions on his logo designs.

Oooooh no,dear boy. Heaven forfend. This is one I've fallen foul of before. You are undoubtedly referring to the posts made in an advertiser's section. These are moderated by the advertiser, and no posts go live in there without their approval. As matter of etiquette, they are not approved by the rest of us, and sometimes you will notice this delay. Hope this clears it up.

Edit: As I've typed this, the penny has dropped above. No probs.

Thanks, Peter! It makes sense when you think about it. Just didn't realise I hadn't posted anywhere else yesterday otherwise it I might have clicked on then!

Each individual advertiser has the option to choose how their section is set up. Some chose to approve posts before they go live (in which case there will be a delay before they go live). Whilst other advertisers have chosen not to have any any post moderation, and in those cases the posts will go live immediately.

Get used to it. I've given up posting in most of that section for this very reason. :o

I am going to remember to add that the next time I add a bogfrog post. i can then delete any bad comments before they go live :D

Sounds never getting back to me about a design i did for him ages ago :(

I couldn't see it either. If it was awaiting moderation, or deleted, it would still be visible to the moderators.




If anyone has issues with posts not appearing in the advertisers section, then the best advice I can give is to contact the advertiser direct via PM. We tend to let them run their sections as they see fit.

Not really that bothered as i have sold the print business. :)
