OK, birthday coming up, and people don't know what to get me. However my Sis will be grabbing me some new headphones this year,
I was going to get her to get these: http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/page/shop/flypage/product_id/6033
But i saw them in HMV the other day and they look tacky/cheapy/crap
So looking on quite a small budget, as i expect they'll be changed out often, between £15 and £25 ideally. But if they over spill then so be it.
Looking to go down the Senn route, but doesn't look like i can for the build quality.
Any help appreciated :)

TDK do a nice pair as do sony around the 15 - 25 pound mark at maplin. Both look and sound very good quaility ( I gave them a test 2 weeks ago when choosing a new pair for myself) went with a pair of philips at £40 myself.

Despite dropping Maplin into room 101 earlier, I might take a looky, cheers :)

I've used this type of headphones for yoears - excellent quality and great value. Although just above your budget, worth the extra couple of quid:-

I know it's a budget thing Will, but I think buying cheap headphones is generally false economy. I must have gone through dozens of pairs before I bought my Sennheisers and have now had them for about 8 years and I've only changed the pads once.

I mentioned it in another thread, but I got a pair of MoS headphones from HMV a number of years ago, and they've served me very well :)
Don't know if they still stock them or not though..

I've got the SP25s, and I paid about £85 for them, but I still have them quite a few years later.

Great sounding and solid construction. All parts are replacable too. I tend to wrap the cable round the headphones and they do get a little kinked at the top end, but the rest of the cable doesn't.
The only thing that takes a little getting used to is the fact that the actual earpieces can move round and up and down to adjust, and sometimes they feel a bit loose.
Overall though, seeing as though they've lasted so long, I'd recommend them.

I tend to use these from argos.... Only £6.00 but do the job...

Have one pair i use and a back-up pair in the van just incase as at that cost i can afford to.... Single cord on one side so the cable doesn't get in the way.... Pretty strong too - get through about a pair a year.....

So, in 13 years time, you'll wish you bought a pair of Sennheissers then :teeth:

sennheiser all the way, you cannot beat them! Lol. I have a pair of PX100s for the ipod and a pair of HD25SPs for on the road. Cannot recommend them enough. The SPs are a lightweight version of the standard 25s, sort of like a junior model. Upgrade to the 25s if you can afford them.

Senn website shows 2 cables,

I've read every bit of documentation they provide, and nothing is set in stone.

Double from cans, going into two cables together making a single, if you like.
