Latest folding projection screen

Hey all, just thougth I would alert you all to (what I believe is a bargain) a new type of folding projection screen. Its the Nobo Flexion screen. It measures 60cm by 80cm and folds flat to fit in a briefcase.

We use a projection system, and did use a tripod screen, but this has really made things easy for us. Also checked out the price on various sites using google, and the price is at least £70 to £150 below all the others. I bought it from Staples (online at £149.00.

This piece of kit is great for those wedding gigs where we want to show vidios etc of the wedding or anything else. Also great for Karaoke.

Walls are ok, if its nearly totally dark in the room you are showing the projection. So projection screens have a special reflective surface to reflect even in daylight, hence good for those afternoon wedding gigs.

The beauty of this one is its flexible and can fold up into a briefcase, and when you want to use it again, it springs back into shape.

Its also nearly wieghtless, so for karaoke, instead of carrying heavy tv's etc., all you need is this screen and the projector, both of which can fit into a case measuring 6 inches by 6 inches.

But really, I couldn't believe the price when I saw it. As I said on all other sites I found it was a lot more expensive, also its totally new.

The one shown measures 60 cm by 80cm, which is not small in my book. You can also get it in much larger sizes, but of course you have to pay. Bigger size more money.

Staples only sell this size, the others you can get on the web, but as I said they are a lot more expensive.

Thats 24 inch by 30odd inches, which is bigger than some of those bulky tellys you have to carry. the point is its very portable, practically no weight, folds into a small carry bag, or briefcase.

The other beauty of it is, it can be used on those occasions where you are selling to say a hotel manager, and you are giving a demonstration of your show. It also looks very professional. Truly mobile.

I'm not saying its a replacement for the large pull down screens, so often fixed into a venue. Its a replacement for the tripod screen system.

I suppose everyone to his/her own.

I'm sure there is probably a non-reflective sheet type thing that you can attach to the wall with a temporary fixing, if there isn't somebody should invent one!

I have seen pull up style screens used before, which seem really effective and not too costly. I think they start from around £150, though the Road Warriors are king of this market and retail for about £450 plus!

EDIT: Had a look around, not sure if this would be practical?

Hey guys, it was only a suggestion. this piece of kit is something one uses when presenting/selling to professionals, i.e., you can give a truly professional presentation without the need for inhouse equipment. I suggested this could be used for Karaoke, which as I said is a lot easier to carry than bulky tv's. The KJ's might appreciate this piece of kit. Some times I think people just want things for practically nothing. "You pays your money and you get what you paid for", as the saying goes.

We dont believe in cheapscating, as our kit pays for itself and puts forward a professional image.

yes but i think you are missing the application requirement here. WHat do we use big screens for, Karaoke , Race Nights. Race Nights you need a big **** off screen and a decent speed projector that you set up in front.

Karaoke a big screen may work behind the singer or to the side but again you need the project out in front and getting in the way.

I cannot see a use for a 24 by 30 inch screen, its too small to use as a display and the projector would get in the way.

GIve me the business requirement here please.
