http://www.flightradar24.com/ , just zoom in a bit on the UK , you can click on any aircraft, and all the details come up , live.
There are a number of small company's that are being upgraded to the new transponders/radar , these wont show , such as blue islands , Aurniny air etc.
I was shocked by the number of planes,zoom into Gatwick or Heathrow :eek: .

As an experiment , there was a plane going over my village an hour ago , and sure enough it was on the web site , plane, from, to, height, speed and a whole load of other info.

Keep up at the back...i've been using websites like this for ages lol :D

FlyBE don't show up though as their transponders don't broadcast the signal that these trackers use to show the aircraft.

Oh good, im pleased to see the 9.21 from Istanbul took of safely. How useful :D

Would love to see the computer that logs all that. I wonder if its a Mac or a PC :)

Nah... its a ZX Spectrum. Sir Clive Sinclair donated it after the offer of using it to run a nuclear power station was delcline :D

Personally I was a BBC Beeb person, still have 3 of them including the one that spent a whole decade controlling a video switcher that I built for a sea front pub. The ONLY time it failed was when someone accidently ejected the floppy disk that it booted from :lol:
