I am due to be providing the entertainment at a wedding this evening,its taking place in a marquee in their backgarden.I was up having a look during the week,it all looked nice,i agreed that i would come around 2pm and set up before everyone arrives at 5.
Well the weather overnight and right now is horrendous,windy and wet.It is not ideal for setting up mood lighting,or other electrical equipment due to the wind blowing the marquee,its not very stable at the bottom,the curtains are blowing open,letting the rain in.they have had 2 gazeebos blown down already this morning.
I just explained to the couple that due to the weather it was not ideal to be setting up electrical equipment at this present time,and that i would return around 4ish,this time to set up before everyone arrives,i dont mind then as i will be there to look after my equipment from then till finishing time.
Have any of you had bad weather issues before?
