My new (ish) car has run flat tyres and therefore no jack for changing a wheel.
I am looking at buying a jack in case of a flat tyre on my trailer, and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what type.

I think there is a choice of two (apart from a trolley jack which is really too big to be lugging about) (1) Scissors jack (2) Bottle type jack.

I have just reserved a bottle one in Halfords, but before I pick it up tomorrow, I just wanted your thoughts.

The trailer is a single axle (conway) load lugger type thing!

Thanks in advance.

Trolley is far and away the best, but if you are pushed for space, then so be it. Scissor jacks tend to be unreliable, aand capable of failing in various ways.

Bottle jack is best option, but make sure that the one you get isn't too tall to fit under the trailer. You'll only need a small one, around one or one and a half Tonne would be ample. Make sure it has a screw thread for adjusting it to the height available.

Thanks for that Peter. Bottle jack it is then. I will keep your points in mind when checking today.
