Ok, I thought I had cracked this last year when I got a "Showtec LED Operator 4" and managed to get it to manual control the "Stairville LED par 56" using the sliders. All I had to do was select fixture one on the desk and use the faders to control the output so perfect for getting colours like orange which are hard to get right using the dip switch settings.
Today I wanted to program some chases as I'm going to try and push this more so was aiming to get a simple purple to pink however the desk appeared to have tons of different colours stored so I thought lets factory reset and wipe the memory.............
Now I don't get anything out of the pars using the desk, I've tried for a good couple of hours trying to get it to work and nothing. The pars work because they come on using dip 12. I hope the penny is going to drop at some point because I'm planning to do the efx's with a different dmx unit next :O
To sum up when it was working the desk you just selected fixture one and on the par can you had dip one on and 2-12 off (This is the 12 channel unit). I could control everything before the factory reset, colour, output etc..
