Admin - not sure if this is ok as discute is still ongoing - if you delete this thread I will understand.

I have doen a few weekend bookings fo rthe above and apart from him disapearinga t times he has always paid me promptly. that is untill 2 weeks ago.

I was booked to play at a rally at St davids, pembrookeshire - and on turning up was informed by the landlord that the organisor was not coming an dthat i would be running the weekend (news to me).

Anyway I ran the weekend, and then tried to contack him via phone - no answerl Last week i sent him a letter asking for final payment and what would happen if he didnt pay up or contact me.

Tommorow I go down to citizens advise to fill out small claims form. he owes me £280.00 which will be wing its way by snail mail tomorrow night.

The reason for this post is not to winge about a non payer - but hopefully will stop someone else being ripped off !!!!!!!!!!! So if your a mobil disco and cover rock music or know a person who is (probally just starting out like me) then pleas elet them know....

Cheque for the full amount arrived this morning. complete with a brief letter. still no appology and obviosly not learnt his lesson about regular contact - as he admits he received my letter last saturday but has sat on it till posting yesterday ............but at least its over. I wonder if some of it was down to bands that i work with phoning me up to enquire what is going on - and them cancelling there bookings with him .....

Mind you judging by some of teh posts on here - this one seems to have been settled very quiclky and easily

Make sure you get paperwork next time regardless then you have some ammo for use in county courts if ever you need to go that far
