Mood lighting wiring

Just wondering how people wire the power cables.

I haven't seen any IEC cables with a splitter at the end only halfway down the cable which is pointless for mood lighting really so wondering how it's best done.

You can buy an IEC 2-way "Y" adaptor, and put it on the end of a normal IEC cable......
