Hello there,
I was wondering if anyone has a Ultimax goal post stand that I could borrow that is 4 metres by 2.5 metres for a Engagment Party on the 11th August?
Here is what I am looking for - http://www.ultimax1.com/home.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_images.tpl&product_id=203&category_id=66
I am happy to collect the item if you live within a reasonable distance of Chesham, Buckinghamshire.
Many thanks.
Tom.

Sorry Callum: completely disagree. It depends on what you're using it for.... horses for courses and all that.
On that note... Tom: what are you planning on hanging from it? A 4m span of trusslite (without a centre post) doesn't hold much weight.

I am hoping to be hanging 4 LED flat mirror scanners, 2 ADJ Sunray TRI LED star balls, 1 Acme Impossibled and a Kam Starcluster 3D from it.

I've just looked at the specifications for this goal post stand and it says the max weight it can handle is 80 KG which will be more than enough for what I am using it for.

Not on a 4m span!
Not sure what you're reading, but it clearly states "Maximum recommended evenly distributed load is 25Kg on a 4m span"
The wider the span, the lower the load capacity.
We have and use trusslite, and I wouldn't like to put what you're suggesting on a 4m span!!!!! It might be OK (I don't know the weight of the lights you're talking about), but it is obviously less stable than full trussing - especially at that width. TBH, I wouldn't put much more than something like a backdrop on that width.

I have a Mobi Tech 4 metre trussing system that I use as well, but I was looking for something a bit more compact and easier to set up and pack away due to having bad back problems.

Here are the total weights of the fixtures I will be using -
4 LED scanners - 26.8 KG for all 4
2 LED star balls - 3.6KG for the pair
1 ImpossibLED - 5.0 KG
1 Starcluster 3D - 7.0 KG
Total weight - 42.4 KG

Wind up?
Yes it is, but I find the wind up stands too heavy and bulky.

It'll be easier to set up than the Ultimax.
