That is ludicrous considering he will only get £25

How do you work that out?
Take away any person's normal expenses and he will be making a loss.

Very strange normally these offers are based on a way over the top price then it's 50% off, this one starts at a ridiculously low £100 then it's half that must be a nutter that's all I can say :daft: .

He'll be getting £25 from the company promoting the deal, they take 50% of every sale. Then he's got his overheads.

Is that a standard thing then?

Indeed. With all of them, Groupon etc. I was going to do it but they wanted to me to drop my rates by half, then take 47% each sale!

Depends how much he charges for the extra hours of course - the offer is only for up to 3 hours.
It's really just a ruse to get people to contact him - and then, do doubt, the sales talk begins and the price increases.

He's adhering to the letter of the law and not claiming anything he can't prove, I find that quite refreshing.

I'd have thought 'desperate' was more fitting

personal thoughts A,not another pricing thread and B, is the operator a member of the forum to put his point across some thing i was reminded of a few months ago when i posted a similar thread.

And?
Anyone booking him just want the cheapest they can find. Considering the fact I charge more than double for someone to dry hire a "disco" setup then let him carry on.

Slightly different, in as much it's the ad / voucher being discussed.

Also if anything goes wrong and the client complains, it is done though the site and they deal with it on your behalf. Not ideal.

It doesn't seem to say, and also has his direct contact number, so I don't see how they can take the cut in the same way as groupon, etc do.
