Par cans - RGBA or RGBW

Looking at getting some new par cans, and was wondering what's the difference between RGBW and RGBA...and which would be best for uplighting with regards of colour mixing and shades etc etc.

RGBW = Red, green, blue, white
RGBA = Red, green, blue, amber

I use RGBA for uplighting, the amber LEDs allow you to create certain colours much better, in particular gold, light pink, orange and lime green.

They are also better for face lighting should you need to light up a small stage.

Having said that, I also have some RGBW units and they are fantastic for general washes.

Your best bet is to get a demo of a few different units, and opt for quad colour rather than individual LEDs if you can.

Unfortunately, weve no DJ shops in Cumbria...so I would have to travel for a demo :(

So Amber would be best for things like Lime green, peach etc etc?
