Projection

Possibly a numpty question but I'll ask it anyway as I haven't seen it asked on here before.

Usually when I do projection, if there is enough space in a venue I will take my large projector screen and projector and show the visuals or slideshow on that. If space isn't great then I split the signal from the laptop using a VGA splitter box and connect to 2 monitors.

The other day when I was testing the lycra screens out, I placed the projector behind them and reversed the output, stood in front of them and the result was great. Really clear video, visuals, banners etc...

It obviously came out on one screen.
What I want to know is, is there a way of getting the output twice from one projector? How would I have the same video showing twice so it could be seen on 2 panels rather than one?
Would it need another projector?

I'm not really up on this stuff but I'd like to know if it's possible as it looked really cool.

Mirrors and splitter prisms but would cost the same as a a new projector or even more an you would loose a lot of light output. You can use mirrors to shorten the throw of a projector incase you run of of room.

Gary, Just get another projector, I have bought 4 off that famous auction site now and not paid over £20 each, What I look out for is a broken one with working bulb and a good one(same make of course) without bulb so for less than £100 I have 4 working projectors.

Hammy, that was my initial thought mate. I wasn't sure at first whether you could link 2 projectors together but I guess the easiest thing to do would be to get another projector and grab the signal from the VGA Splitter or VGA Splitter Box (I have both).

Do us a favour mate, I don't use that auction site so if you see a projector going very cheap, let us know. I quite like the idea of doing something different and one of the things I tested the other day as well as the videos were some VJ Loops. I have all kinds of stuff including floating stars which looked really good on a single screen. I think it would look awesome doubled up. You could also create your own loops, messages etc and a lot cheaper and better looking than those LED banner type things?
