Rang round a few retailers this afternoon asking for a price to ship a XPRS Console to Northern Ireland . First quote was £200 , next quote was £12.50 have a guess which one I just might go for!!

For the price of one I would of expected it for free! Yeah have the same problem with some retailers but E bay is the worst. Usually as I work at Heathrow I get it delivered there and carry it on the plane home if it is that much more expensive.

One of the reasons I used Thomann for years. Their "UK delivery" includes the islands whereas the majority of mainland UK retailers immediately slap £20 on when IoW is mentioned.

I know the root cause is courier charges, but there are one or two who don't charge extra but sadly none of the 'usual suspects' used by the big boys. Oh, and Royal Mail don't charge extra but you try getting pretty much any retailer big or small to post stuff :mad:

There have been occasions when ordering up large bulky items where I've had to co-ordinate deliveries from several sources to a store-and-forward warehouse in Southampton who whack it all on a single pallet.
