View Full Version : Mackie Badges
I could do with getting some of the round Mackie logo badges as are fitted to the SA range of speakers and other models (they're round, about the same size as a £2 coin, running man logo) anyone know where I can get some from, Mackie aren't answering their emails, so much for their customer service :(

Have you rung the main number for loud? I found they answered phone everytime i called them and they are the mackie distibutor in the uk
Yes I called Loud technologies who put me onto 'Technical Earth', I have contacted them twice and despite saying they would email me back, they never have, I presume a small order is just too much trouble for them to be bothered with. Their shoddy customer service will be taken into account when deciding wether to buy Mackie HD range speakers or the equivalent EV offering, anybody have experience of Electro Voice customer support? :)

It used to be run by Shuttlesound in the UK. I have had 2 experiences with them, once to buy a replacement driver for an SXA100 and the other to find a small thumbscrew for the back of the cab. They were efficient in answering emails and phone calls and very friendly.
I had a thumbscrew go missing on one of my RCF cabs when I first bought them and they wanted the serial number of the cab to send me another one. (I kid you not!) EV on the other hand sent me 3, next day delivery (well Post Office, but this was a while back :D ) free of charge, no questions asked.
This was a few years ago, but the service from EV was very very good and highly recommended.
Mackie and Loud are a whole different story which I won't go into, having had 6-7 SWA1501s die on me over a period of around.....
Thanks for the heads up, despite not having heard the EVs yet I'm leaning towards them already.
