Define best Shaun.

Best for DJing, or for dancing, or great lyrics and tune, or something else?

Best tunes for dancefloor reaction.

Are we talking, like ballads - such as James Blunt - You're Beautiful, and indeed, Robbie Williams - Angels? That sort of thing?

Gnarls Berkley is quite slow, but it wouldn't fit into the mould of song I had in mind for my answer, but seeing as it's Shaun's thread, I'll wait for him to clarify :D

Yup, that's what I had in mind. Mainstream ballads and slow stuff that have proved to be popular at your events.

Gnarls Berkley is quite slow,

I got it as 112bpm here which isn't really slow at all in comparison to most ballads.

Danno13
12-10-2006, 11:04 PM
Well i've had people slow dance to it several times... and its not exactly fast is it?? :)

Most "danceable" music (i.e. our main party tracks) is 120 bpm and above.. usually above 125, so it is comparitivley slow to anything else you play...

Strictly speaking, if you'd have suggested those when the thread was originally around, in 2006, some may have just been within the 10 year span.
