Without wishing to be a smart :Censored: something is shorting.
Probably an internal component or connection.
If you are any good with electrics take covers off and go looking for obvious problems after disconnecting mains.
Had a similar problem with the Rodeo Bull where a loose component
had a connection drifting around inside the control box.
Otherwise --take to a proper electrician for a quick test.

If Acme make this lights like the Cougar and like Chauvet make the Vue III, then it'll have a separate switch mode power supply inside the case away from the main control circuit board. So if you open it up and see a small black brick (like a laptop power supply) or a second circuit board with a large capacitor and a coil on it then it'll be this at fault. If it's an open circuit board, be careful touching it as it's possible for 300v plus to be stored in the capacitor for a while after the power has been disconnected.
Either way, you're probably looking at a main dealer repair.

Hello Vinny, you've already had some good advice there. Don't forget safety first, ie don't touch the internals when it's plugged in.
May I urge you to pop across to the Newbies section, and introduce yourself more fully. We like to know a bit about who we're conversing with. Ta.

Great info guys, will need to open it up to have a look, not that good at electrics. So if I don't reply you'll know why. Any way thank you, it will be a big help. And yes Excalibur I will, wasn't to sure if I had or not before, go on so many forums and you forget what you've been on. Lol
Any way thanks again
Vinny
