Speaker stands due for renewal

after 10 years of good service my speaker stands have finally decided enough is enough and i have decided to give them a good send off.
can anyone recommend a good pair of speaker stands.
i am using rcf 315a active speakers which have a 35mm socket.

Hi Hadyn, I have a pair of these stands that have a compression so when released the speaker does not drop suddenlybut is cushioned as the stand comes down. They are in a bag and been used around 5 times. I will check the weight limit tomorrrow..oops..later this morning and send you more detail. If suitable for you £20 delivered by courier. They are aluminium.

I use the Ultimax SureLoc stands as I got sick of cheaper stands eventually failing on me.

and proel had a delay on it too :mad: so I kindly told them to do one!

My Giraffe one is giving up the ghost after five years. Any other suggestions of something nice and thin but tough?
I use it as lighting stand and it fits in my road trunk. Not a lot of weight on it - probably 20-25 kilos.

I want an air one that does down slowly really. must be over 2m high or thereabouts.

I four looking for something compact I use the samson ones.

They are excellent and take up little space.

thank you for all your suggestions i knew this would be the place to get good advice
after looking several different speaker stands and looking at quality and build
against price and size i have decided to buy 4 of these babys

they are not too dear and look and sound good quality with cast aluminium collars and stuff
i know there are a lot of better ones out there at a better price but i think seem to be good all rounders

The Proel air cushioned one arrived today and its great. Nice and solid. £60 quid each. :)
