Hi all,
Thought I would share some info about a new venue we attended last night for a wedding. It's called Maidens Barn and its in High Easter near Chelmsford. To be honest it is in the middle of knowhere, but a lovely venue.
COnverted barn with exposed beams and things, large function room but the wedding yesterday only had around 80 guests so wasn't packed. We were set up in a sort of side room offset to the main suite which meant we could set up without disturbing the wedding guests.
Its wooden flooring and average height ceiling, could easily get the deckstand with overhead bar in no problem. Was a bit of an echo though.
They have a sound limiter fitted but we had our RCFs at about 1/2 o clock setting and we hardly showed up on the monitor so seems to be set at an acceptable level.
Staff were very nice and food was good too.
