Good afternoon,

I am considering selling my abstract xp lights and replacing them with some of the acme 50 watt led effects.

Currently I have 2 x xp5's, 2 x xp2's and 2 x xp3's.

I will not be able to afford 6 of the new led effects, maybe 4.

So the question is what would you go for ?

2 scans and 2 barrels, 2 scans and 2 moonflowers or 2 barrels and 2 moonflowers ?

Thanks

Phil

Hi phil,
What moonflowers were you looking at getting? You could get two of something like the impossibled and some LED comscans or something similar? That would give a good effect IMO as you've got the constant movement from the scanners but you've also got your dance floor and roof covered with bright patterns from the impossibled - you would need to control the impossibleds with a CA8 though so you can vary the patterns and make it strobe etc...
Thanks,
Charlie :D

Cheers for the thought mate but if I was going to swap I'd want to upgrade from what I currently have, nothing against the impossiled because I have used them in the past but the whole dotty thing just isn't for me which is why I bought my extreme xp's.

As I mentioned in the first post I have been looking at the new 50 watt acme range, the cheetah moonflower, the samurai barrel and I think it is the dragon scan (rotating gobo).

The thing is, the more I think about it all I will be doing is replacing halogen with led and although I would not have to worry about changing lamps (in theory) I understand the acme range does not have such a good range of inbuilt programmes as my current fixtures.

Oh and I can't warrant spending £1000 on wizard extremes lol

Decisions, decisions lol

Hi,
Fair point, impossileds are not for everyone.
What about the acme mirage? It's LED and it's like having 2 scanners in one?
