Hi Everyone,

First post, and first venture into the Karaoke/DJ circuit :omg: I am Paul, I live and work in Dorset.

I am a founder and Co-Director of SonRise Radio, an internet based radio station. Due to the enormous success we have had with the station, I now need more daytime hours available to me. One of our other director's already had an established Karaoke business which I am about to take on, his family committments make it unrealistic for him to be away of an evening.

So I shall be working on the station during the day, and hopefully filling the evenings with karaoke. It is a long time since I have been behind the decks of a "live" event and the last time karaoke was not even in the UK!!!

I hope to learn much from the good people here.

Does anyone recall when Karaoke players first came to the UK? I worked for an entrepreneur who imported some in 1990, which we sold fairly successfully along the south coast, were these among the first, or were there earlier ones?

The moile disco business is by & large going from strength to strength, especialy if you offer a quality service & can get a good reputation (this can take time so stick with it)
