Hi everyone

Ebay DJ's the next thing lol i am on ebay all the time looking at rigs to expand the biz with more rig and there is always some clown selling them self lol to me if you are on ebay wanting people to hire you then you must be $$$$ and have no one booking you and how can you trust someone who does this you pay them then they dont turn up and you dont know where they live i think you should not be aloud to sell your self. You can hire a girl for a day or a car so why djs lol.

ive seen a few on there and most seem to have a website too think some use it purely as an advertising medium however i would say that most people who look at ebay want to buy a product ... toothbrush,camera,light etc not a service such as a mobile disco entertainment one so maybe they just need to think about their marketing a little more as to me it does make them look as if they are sell ing a product ..lights music soundsystem and not themselves and what they offer a customer.

using ebay as an advertizing medium I believe have seen loads of disco's do it over the last 5 years

I think it may work if someone seraches 'disco somerset' and because ebay is big it will come up on the search results page or something - there must be some reason behind it ... and if they didn't generate business throught it i guess they wouldn't keep on advertising on ebay.

I wouldn't say people use ebay to advertise because they are crap, it's just another way of advertising. I agree with AsTecDJs, it is a massive company and there is a chance that someone may stumble across the adverts but any advertising will do if it gets you bookings.
I'd say about 85% of punters wanting a disco would look in a Yellow Pages anyway.

i get loads of enquiries from it but id say enquiry to booking ratio is fairly low due to the "how much, if you say more than 3 numbers its daylight robbery" brigade.
