putting 2nd rig on ebay include pc or not ?

Im listing a 2nd rig on ebay as i put up before.

Question is do i include the pc or not ?

Will it increase the value i think it will ? would you buy a mobile disco if you got a pc loaded with mp3s and pcdj ?

The problem is the mp3s wont be legal to whoever buys it ? the pcdj will be

But i dont think people on ebay starting up bother about legal mp3s

If you list it on ebay with the mp3's the chances are you could get reported to ebay and have the listing taken down - so you will have paid the listing fee for nothing.. Better off just listing the computer with PCDJ (if it is a proper version with serial number and backup CD)

Music (& Softare) piracy is a crime & is not condoned by the Mobile Disco Directory.

Selling a PC loaded with MP3s is piracy.

If they removed the drm protection thats beyond my control !

Well for every mp3 on your PC you'd have to give the person the CD as well... else there would be two copies of that song being used by different people when only one has been paid for.

What if you've downloaded them from iTunes - legally?

E.g - you sold all your legally purchased CD's & brought a laptop and downloaded 1000 songs from itunes over the last few months.
You now need the money desperately to visit you sick auntie in Australia - so you've got to sell your laptop & you collection of legal MP3's.


So am I allowed to sell all my CD's - which have been purchsed legally? Or would some copyright law be broken?

As technologies change people get rid of old formats and buy the new versions. People would sell records or tapes to buy CD's. So what happens when a new technology comes about in X number of years - can you sell the MP3's? (Obviously ALL music has been purchased legally!)

As I said - I don't know about this AT ALL!!! Just trying to understand whats what. :embarasse

You've raised a good point.. i mean you'd think there wouldn't be a problem. But considering the powers to be wish to rip us.. i mean, charge us for simply transfering music from a CD we've already bought to a PC.. i doubt they'd conside the above legal.

If you are saying that all of the tracks were downloaded legally on to another computer and you have copied these onto the hard drive of this machine, and so would keep the licences but sell the copied tracks, this is in total violation of the download licence and COMPLETELY ILLEGAL....Nevermind what whoever bought it did with them SELLING THEM IS ILLEGAL AND IS MUSIC PIRACY :mad:

also you can buy a cd and give it to someone as a gift ie birthday so could you sell the pc but give the legally bought mp3s away as a free gift with it that is to say not use them to alter the price of the machine? again im a cd man so know little about the ins and outs of digital stuff.
