Following on from the gallery post from this morning. The QTX heavy duty winch lighting stand I was using developed a fault (it would not raise up) when I was setting up on Friday. I had to revert to a spare stand.
The unit was purchased from Why buy new last August (it was a new product,the company also sells new items). I gave them a phone on Friday at approx 2pm, spoke to Jason, who arranged for a new one to be sent out and the faulty one uplifted.
It arrived today and the faulty one was collected. I thought this was first class service. I just thought you may be interested to know.
I also had a question for anyone using a winch stand and t-bar. Should I be putting any oil/lubricant in the winch part? They do seem to make a slight creaking noise although I guess that is due to the way it works?
