If you could swap your job, either DJing or other for any job in the world, what would you do or be?

(Don't want any rubbish answer like beer taster etc)

D'oh!

I want to run a pub somewhere in Ireland, away from Belfast and I would treat the DJs well, give them a free pint or two, pay them well and appreciate the work they do.
:) :)

Probably something like a clothes designer - definitely something more artistic.... but my parents didn't think anything 'artistic' was a 'proper' job and that as I had a brain it should be something more 'academic'

But do you like to roam the land driving an icecream van?

Grave digger for me, no wait, done that. I can honestly say the only thing I'd want to change is to make enough to bin the part time job & just consentrate on DJing etc

I always wanted to be an airline pilot... But you know how it goes... meet the missus, get an XR3 (back in the 80's) of which some of our younger members may not know what one of those is and then fall into a normal day to day job.

But, just starting to live the dream a little and about to join a gliding club.

Oh, and be a DJ LOL

I taste food regularly as part of my job - might not be beer, but it's quite a perk!

funkymike why not join your local hospital radio station....become that radio dj and also give some spare time to those who could really do with it.

Hospital radio has come up in leaps and bounds and is nearly as good as commercial radio - alternativley see if there are any community stations within your area.

I always wanted to join the police, and would still love too

I would like to be............

1) A rally / racing driver. Just love fast cars. Would like to take part in the Cannonball Run, but can't afford it, ah, perhaps the Crumball Rally (yes it does exist) it's a lot cheaper. This has been re-ignited recently because of of my daughters friends father does do the classic Le Mons, and has been disqualifed from the Cannonball for driving to fast :D

2) As a kid, I was always fasinated by Astronomy and deep space, I even joined the local astro society. Just over a week ago I was looking up something for my daughters chemistry prep and came accross the interesting subject of Tacyon Particals. Physics were never my strong point so Quantum Mechanics are out the window.

The only problem with these are, they are both hobbies, no money in them, bit like DJ'ing really :D :D :D

I've always wanted to be a film or TV extra.

Lots of sitting around, but ideal for me, as I've always been interested in acting & also the behind the scenes stuff on TV shows & films.

My brother did it for a while. He was in Family affairs, Kavanagh QC, Jonathan Creek, The Bill and several films.

I'm free in the daytimes, so I could probably do it as WELL as the discos & quiz nights, but I've just never got round to joining an agency.

I'd love to swap my job for retirement. Alas, it won't be happening anytime soon.

But I wouldn't swap, so much as, assuming success, be picky with what gigs I did.
