All wrapped up for winter

As I was wrapping up my equipment today in the garage in preperation for the cold winter months, I thought to myself that alot of dj's would be doing exactly the same thing.

I managed to get some carpet and a pallet to hold my speakers, I also used some spare laminate flooring I had laying around, and finally I wrapped it all in a gazzebo cover.

Speakers dont seem to do too badly in garages--but anything electrical take indoors if you can---otherwise expect trouble.:daft::daft::daft:

Maybe others have different stories--having followed that rule my Amps, Mixers, Lights, Cortex etc have lasted a longtime---without problems BUT my friend who gifted me an old H and H MA100 pa amp stored in his shed for many years has a buzzing on it whereas my identical model kept indoors all its life--still perfect and gets used sometimes on small gigs.

As it happens all the speakers I rely on go indoors as well.

No I work all year round, but I just don't have the space indoors, so its a case of having to wrap it up warm in the garage.

All my gear is cased and bagged and I never have any problems, hence the question. :)

my garage is attached to the house, built with a double skin exterior wall and a bedroom above it. The temperature never seems to deviate from about 19 degrees in either winter or summer.

Plus my kit is bagged and cased and the floor has a complete damp course so we don't have any issues with humidity.
