Wasnt working last night, so had a few beers on the couch with Pauline watching TV. We'd run out of drink so decided to head to our local pub for a couple more before it closed. Got there at 11.15pm.
As we arrived a group of girls were leaving, comments including 'this party is :Censored:' could be heard. The pub is split in half, with main bar area at the front, function room at the back. The doors seperating the two rooms were open.
Being nosey, i had a look into the function room. There were just 3 woman in the room, the birthday girl (21), a freind and ,i assume, her mum. Two young DJ's were behind what was a decent setup, 4 scanners, 2 lazers, peavey sound system with 2 bass bins.
The pub crowd (all 15 of us) were invited into the function room, and a few started dancing. In the 40ish minutes we were in there, the music stopped 3 times for no aparent reason and requests were being ignored. At one point, the birthday girl was talking to the DJ when another person made a request, she snapped ':Censored:off, its my party, i'll decide the music, im the one paying'
During the last 10 minutes, the DJ's were switching off and removing one light at a time, during the last song, they unplugged one side of speakers. Its as if they couldnt wait to leave.
The only time i heard a DJ speak on the mic, was at the end of the last song (david guetta's titanium), he said 'thats the last song, goodnight'
Not a good night, glad it wasnt my party.
