Solved a very occasional minor problem, with a nifty piece of kit, if you shop around these can be picked up for as little as fifteen quid.

Now I am not starting a debate as to weather or not people do or don’t play songs from customer devices and I know that quite a few definitely don’t and are usually in the same camp as “your not plugging that into my kit brigade”.
However on a few occasions it has been necessary for me to plug the old 3.5 jack lead into somebody’s phone type device to play a certain song, the last time was at a wedding where a good proportion of the guests were German / Dutch and the song which I didn’t have and to be honest had no chance of downloading, was played off a guys phone, incidentally the tune absolutely stormed it.
That wasn’t really the problem, when the guy produced his phone complete with bomb proof kind of case the 3.5 jack would not go in fully, and took the chap about 5 minutes to get his phone out of it’s secure case.
Anyway my solution was to purchase a Bluetooth device, which negates having to plug phones and tablets etc. into my kit directly and will allow song to be played via Bluetooth.
Something I probably won’t use out on the road very often, but it is pretty good for use at home as well.
