The pins that you insert into a speaker pole as a safety feature with the hole either side and a split pin ... I need some but don't know what they are called to search on ebay and have no idea where else to buy them!

Want to use them to hold a cloth up on my speaker poles, thought about just shoving a pen through the hole but that would look crap!

If you don't have any luck, then M8 thread nuts and bolts usually work instead!

When I first had a starcloth between speaker poles I used a suitable 2 lengths of aerial aluminium pipe ( from a guy up the road who replaced aerials) and a smaller copper pipe to join them. At each end I had flattened the aluminium pipe and drilled a 10mm hole before bending 90 degrees. To this I bolted a G clamp either end and fixed this to the tripod. This gave me an easily attached bar between the tripods. Just a suggestion in case anyone wishes to try it. You can get aluminium pipe of different sizes that go into each other from B&Q or other similar places.

At 43p each these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Shaft-Locking-Pin-8mm-diameter-x-70mm-4-30-for-10-similar-to-linch-pin-/270841360927?pt=UK_BOI_FarmingEquipment_RL&hash=item3f0f67321f are pretty secure. The lock spring also is handy to hang things from ?
