Just doing some work on my collection in Traktor and the following amused me and made me think a tad.

I've 2884 artists in total, I put a search in to find Kirsty MacColl (now there was a talent, cue thread! :) ) anyway, I typed in - kirsty.

How many Kirstys do you think I got? ONE, yeh, just the one. Now it made me think is she the only Kirsty to EVER record, I can imagine not but wherever the other Kirstys are, I've not got them.

Are there any? Somebody I'm sure will come up with some and make me look a total plank but hey ho. :teeth:

Kirsty Hawkshaw - I have one of her tracks. She sings on a much trance song which has been sampled loads of times in other places - called It's a Fine Day (Opus III and a few others) Really good song actually and a bit of a favourite of mine.

It's a fine day..People open windows!

theres also "Theres a guy works down the chipshop swears he's Elvis" number 14 1981 and A New England" got to number 7 in 1985, and don't forget fairytale of new york with the pogues

Its only ever used as Background anyway, and even that was only because of a hotel i worked at last christmas insisting on all christmas music whilst people were eating!
