Sciatica

Hi all, I have been having some severe pain in my right leg so I went up to the Doctors and had some X rays, he thinks I have Sciatica and some lower spine deterioration and possible disc damage, anyway he prescribed me with Tramadol 50mg and Gabapentin 300mg.
Has anyone else experienced this as any advice would be well received, funnily enough it won't really affect my Dj'ing as the pain is not as severe when I am standing but driving to the gigs is not going to be fun.

I look forward to your replies but in a way I hope nobody replies as I would'nt wish it on anyone.

I had a severe case of it last year. I went through months of private physio before it started to ease up. Standing for long periods at gigs definitely aggravated it. I purchased a rubber fatigue mat for standing onat gigs, which helped somewhat.

I had this about three or four years ago. Physio did help, but I really just think it is something that needs time to heal by itself. Hope it gets better soonest :)

Had / Have something similar to this

Went through 2 MRI scans on my back , months of private physio, to find out I have a dried out joint in the base of the spine which causes aggrivation of the spinal nerve which in turn gives pain down the leg and a numb feeling in my lower left leg at times, I have to say great to live with at times.

Tried some drugs that were given to me by the GP and took a few which in turn gave me headaches and more or less made me feel high.


It seems its something we have to deal with no fix without major , major risk
