Hi there,

I am on the look out for a active sub woofer suitable to run with a pair of Mackie SRM 450 V1's for my larger venues.

I am looking to spend £300-£400 on one with delivery included.

Payment won't be avaliable until the early part of Jan.

Thanks!

Look for a dB Tech Sub 15... which is what I used to run with my Mackies.

You should be able to pick up an RCF705AS for around £400 (seen some for between £380 - £450 recently).

How much are you looking for it?

What sort of condition is it in? How did it sound with your Mackie's?

RCF705 sounds fine with Mackies. I used one for about 2 years and I believe Charlie Brown was using this setup too.

Its what I use, not a band sounding system when used together.

Take a look at the alto range, I am using the SUB12, with a pair of SRM's, had it about 2 months, its ok for me in medium'ish venues, but the 15 or 18 would be ample I reckon, and I think within your budget.
