Hi,
This is my first post as I'm a newby to MDD although not new to the world of mobile discos. I recently bought a stairville invader 2420 dmx programmer, I'm also new to DMX, I think I have grasped the theory of the binary codes and dip switches with the help of an iPad switch app. Quite simply, despite reading the stairville instruction book several times and making numerous attempts I don't understand how to use it. I can't get the lights to work other than with the sliders, all the colours work fine with the sliders so I am confident I have wired them and have set the dip switches correctly. Normally with something new I would use the wonderfull world of youtube to learn, however all the instruction videos referring to this stairville invader model are in German so no luck, is there anyone who can help me get a simple chase? set a scene? just perform a simple tasks with this desk? Im sure once I have mastered the basics the rest will follow. Many thanks in advance. John

I don't know your controller, but they all work on the same basic principals. However, I am not sure I have understood you correctly.

I understand that you've got the dip switches set correctly, and the various channels on the controller are behaving as they should, so are you asking how to save each step to create a scene? (ie At what point of your programming are you stuck?)

I'm completly stumped with the programming, I can't seem to produce/save a scene and if I did I wouldn't know how to replay it, do i need to create a new fixture profile first? I am really at a loss, any tips would be welcome, to answer your question I'm stuck right at the very begining!

Hi i have had a look at the manual and to be honest this unit is very complicated not ideal for somebody starting out on the DMX route what made you chose this unit as it seems to be rather over the top.As far as i can see you need to make sure all your fixture are in the library. Then you make a scene my adjusting your chosen fixture with the sliders and save do as many steps as you require then save the show, but not very easy on this unit if i had it in front of me i could figure it out but very hard to do remotely have you considered a simple 192 unit sorry i cant me of more help best of luck .:)
