I know that you are much too young to remember the original, so ask Dorian Gray sat next to you if he'll play Chris Farlowe's version, so that you may compare and contrast. Stereophonics win, but nobody beats Chris Farlowe by much. ;)

Chris Farlowe was the first release of the song reaching the dizzy heights of 33 in the charts,, but the song was written by Mike D'Abo of Manfred Mann fame, recorded by him but not released until much later. Well worth a listen!
