Can't find thread for this so thought I'd start one.
What are your New Years Resolutions? (either DJ related or not). And did you keep any from last year?

1) Diet.
2) Be abstemious. ( that's a lot like 1) )
3) Build my bins ready for Coalville.
That should keep me occupied till March at least. :D

Last year I decided I wanted to get properly fit and learn the saxophone
Glad to say I've kept the fitness one up. I do think I've made a genuine life change. Although I've obviously slacked off over Christmas, I can't wait to get back to working out on the 2nd and I've already got some more fitness related challenges set out for 2013. Planning on beating the time I rocked in for Men;s Health Survival of the Fittest I did in October and I'm also aiming to complete the Rat Race Dirty Weekend 20mile obstacle course in May. need to get some SERIOUS training in for this.
I wasn't terribly out of shape but I wasn't superfit either. Through a lot of hard work and determination, at one point I was managing crack out over 30 wide front pull ups, do a plank for over 5 minutes and bench pressing over my body weight which is quite a feat since most of my workouts are from the p90x programme where you're not doing any bench work at all. I also ran bootcamp classes for pupils during my work's Healthy Living day and I had a couple of colleagues who had seen me doing it ask if I'd been in the special forces before I got into teaching because of the stuff I was doing  Great feeling to have the hard work recognised.
This year I'm going to keep up the fitness and to help that I'm planning on going teetotal for January to kick start getting back into the fitness regime after NYE.
I really do want to learn the sax but I just feel like it takes so much time to invest in learning a new instrument that realistically, it probably won't happen.
Oh yeah I'm also going to tick running with the bulls at Pamplona off of travel my bucket list :D

To stay the same as I am already. Once refined there is no need for change.:)

1) Stop getting so stressed about things (ive not enjoyed the festive season at all due to being stressed about various things)
2) Stop moaning at my fianceé about her smoking (if she wants to die at 50, thats up to her)
3) Stop drinking so much Bacardi (i doubt that resoloution will last long)

I would like to think that..............
Cut down on drinking (a bit)
Eat a bit healthier
Lose some weight
Cut down on DJing ( a bit) . 10 gigs a year is as much as I can undertake in 2013 ( actually that has already been broken , I have 12 gigs booked in 2013 )
Wishful thinking would be to move and start a new life elsewhere , but I cannot see that happening , unless me or my wife's numbers come up.......... ;)

To finally get back "on the road". My gear is 95% complete, just a few things to sort out before the Timewarp Roadshow starts looking for bookings.
I was hoping to have been up and running last year but life was just too hectic.
Sell up and go and live somewhere tropical, I'm sick of the cold and rain :)

Sell up and go and live somewhere tropical, I'm sick of the cold and rain :)
Believe it or not, when I lived out in the Middle East I started to miss the rain.
Not when I was able to go swimming outside on Christmas and New Years morning right enough :) but I did end up missing it.
Just went down the pub to watch the Rangers game. Plenty of "don't be daft, you'll never keep it up." comments when I sat with my Diet Coke and told the guys I drink with I'm off the booze in January but we'll see. Must say it feels pretty good to come home after watching the game and not feel like going for a lie down or battering into the fridge like a madman.

Started mine on the 27th, need to get a bit leaner and eat better so only fizzy drinks on the weekend, drink more water and veg as well as cutting out late night eating and also go running. I have to say I already feel much better, far more energy than I had in December.
