anyway i played "this old house" shakin stevens, its one of those trax i never play but the floor filled up, i need more songs that the old can jive to, give me some ideas so songs that they can have fun jiving to.

Most definitely! I've lost count of the number of times i've pulled the 'Top 10' lists up whilst i've been DJ'ing. They've been great for inspiration, but also help me out if/when I play a genre where my knowledge may be a bit lacking.

And you might be missing a trick with some of the younger people, jive is very popular, on New Years Eve I had a full floor going mad to swing jive tunes, Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway etc. And don't forget Electro Swing as well.

I do very little DJ work these days but I still have a folder of those top 10s printed out for when I do need them :)
