Hi all,

Very quick question, where do you buy your batteries from? Need 9v for my Sennhieser wireless mic.

Do you get them from a local shop or an online supplier?

As a business I get mine from my local cash & carry and tend to buy the Energiser 9V or the Panasonic Pro Power 9V, much cheaper than TESCO or ASDA etc

PP3 (http://cpc.farnell.com/duracell/15070557/battery-procell-pp3-9v-pk10/dp/BT03891) are a lot dearer than when I got mine, but buying twenty gets them at roughly the same price as ten.

Beware the handling charge here, unless you spend over £45, or get the Webfree offers which come round every so often.

Not everything likes rechargeables, sadly. I think most mics are fine, but it's not guaranteed. Get the highest possible capacity. ( Biggest number of mAh )

Yes the slightly lower voltage, does have an effect on some, they obviously don't last as long, but as a rule they work well and that fact that you can always give them a quick boost as soon as you arive before even setting up just plug into the nearest socket, means your pretty much always sorted.

This was an issue I had originally, I thought rechargeable would be the way to go but used a lithium rechargeable and the mic wouldn't even turn on.

So for future reference and searches, the Sennheiser wireless mic doesn't like rechargeable batteries. Only alkaline normal 9v ones.

I get mine from babz as well. PP3's I buy in 20's and AAs I but 100 at a time. Vewry good value and a good service too.

There have been loads of bad batches of the Procells going about. Where most of the pack are duff and only one or two have any kind of juice in them.
