Sam - it'd help if your website was up and running, it's only natural to want to check you out before getting involved.

In lieu of that could you give us a bit more background about what you do, your experience, what you're offering etc.

I provide AV and Pro Audio hire/services to venues and promoters ranging from bars to clubs to festivals but also a lot of events like weddings, parties, screenings, launches, fetes, film and theater etc.

Best site for info is www.facebook.com/radianceaudio for now though not much on there. I do need to sit down and get on with the site.

As for what I'm offering, send me a message telling me what you'd charge for say for friday night 8-1am DJing somewhere in London at a wedding/birthday (21-35). Kit (CDJ1000/2000/1210mk3) will most likely be setup for you. Also be good to know where you're based.

Sorry I am out on this one, I spent a lot of money on the kit I use, Damned if I`m gonna take a pay cut for someone else to set up their own gear and take half the quoted price.

I'll apologise now, it wasn't my intention at all to come across as this post does, I'm not in the business of hiring DJs willy nilly, I just figured it's a good place to start having been through a lot of the older threads which have been on interest. Guess I got a little bored with time on my hands. You'll usually spot this on Thursday and Tuesdays lol. If truth be told I'm not really used to hiring DJs, I usually just supply the kit even if people have booked their own DJs but more and more I get people asking if I can supply a DJ too. Trouble is most of the DJs I know and use are club DJs and well Dubstep and House Music isn't the usual wedding genre. As for fees I don't know. People will usually come to me and say do you have any DJs at which point I'll say that DJ Funkymook will do it for £xxx etc if you catch my drift. I won't be taking a cut from that, or I can say here's a number to call.

As for how to drive the kit, my usual wedding kit is simple and locked down with tonnes of headroom, it'll all be setup for you so the only thing you have to worry about is not hitting the redlights on the mixer which for a wedding you won't. For instance my average wedding kit is CDJ1000mk3 + Urei 1601 Mixer > Ashly Graphic EQ > DBX Driverack 260 LMS > Nexo TD Controllers > Matrix XT6004EQ Amps > Nexo PS15s on sticks and 2x Subs, that's for upto 150 people. It's all locked down and in most cases I'll probably be on site anyway, I just don't DJ, I can mix a live band sure but can't DJ to save my life lol.

If that's what you're looking for, you'll probably find that most of the DJs on here would take on work, so I would suggest that you just carry on with the forum and you'll get to know who you 'click' with and be happy to recommend. Just one thing though - you'll probably find that most DJs here would prefer to use their own play out system, rather than walking in to use an unfamiliar play-out system. I know that, even when we take on a job at a venue where the kit is installed, each one of our DJs feel much happier with their usual play-out plugged in to the system.
